How far is the ranch from Calgary?
About an hour southwest, in Longview, Alberta, on the Cowboy Trail. Most guests drive; groups often arrange a coach from Calgary for evening events.
Can individual rooms at the Lodge be booked?
No. The Lodge is offered as an exclusive-use property rather than as individual guest rooms. Stampede Ranch specialises in private group experiences, venue rentals and full ranch bookings.
Can individual ranch venues be reserved?
Select areas of Stampede Ranch are available for private events and gatherings. Availability depends on the venue, event type, season and ranch operations. Submit an inquiry and our team will help determine the best fit.
Can I book instantly online?
No. Online requests begin the booking process but do not confirm a reservation. A ranch representative will personally contact you to verify availability and complete the necessary booking requirements.
Are the Lodge and Event Venue open now?
Not yet. Both are currently in development, and the imagery on this site shows architectural renderings rather than completed buildings. The ranch team can talk through timing for a future date.
Do you host events in winter?
Year-round. Winter is one of the most striking times on the ranch: snow on the foothills, string lights on the barn, and skijoring for anyone up for it.
What does the booking process involve?
An online request comes first. A ranch representative then contacts you to review availability and event requirements, and to complete the booking agreement and any other documentation the event calls for. Nothing is held until that is done.
Is the ranch still a working cattle operation?
It is, and it has been since 1885. Guests share the property with a working ranch, which is a large part of why the place feels the way it does.
